Christina Kedaj Counseling
English-speaking therapy for expat children & teens in Berlin
Supporting young people through transitions, anxiety, and life between cultures
Christina Kedaj Counseling
A space for international families in Berlin.
Moving between countries can be exciting but also challenging for children and teens. Changes in language, school, and friendships can leave young people feeling unsettled or overwhelmed.
Here, your child can find a calm, supportive space to express themselves, build confidence, and feel more at home in their new world.
Christina Kedaj, M.A. LPC
Christina Kedaj is an American, English-speaking therapist specializing in work with expat children, teens, and their families in Berlin. With over 10 years of clinical experience, including 6 years supporting international clients, she understands the unique challenges that come with growing up between cultures.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counseling from the United States and is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Texas state license (LPC #79805).
Christina began her career working with women and children affected by domestic violence, developing a strong foundation in trauma-informed care.
Today, her work focuses on supporting children and adolescents navigating anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation difficulties, and the stress of relocation and adjustment. She offers a warm, supportive space where young people can express themselves freely, build confidence, and feel more at ease in themselves and their environment.
Her approach is person-centered and strengths-based, integrating Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) for younger children and developmentally appropriate, evidence-based support for teens. Christina also works collaboratively with parents, offering guidance and support throughout the therapeutic process.
Her work is grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep understanding of the expat experience.
Christina's understanding of the expat experience is grounded in being an expat herself. Christina is married to a German and has a German-American toddler at home.
